After securing a promotion to Junior Display Developer, I took on more responsibility on the display side of working where I would now create master and bespoke banners from scratch rather than just content updates like I was doing before.I also now manage and build new Campaigns and profiles through Google DoubleClick Studio.I'm responsible for supporting management in finding new ways and tools to improve and better the workflow as well as training new starters in the programs and methods in which we work.

In my role at Sky I produce, develop, implement and publish HTML5 banner suites, that aredeployed in the Google DoubleClick Studio environment. I create between 10 and 20 HTML banners a week to engage potential customers in promoted Sky offers.I use Photoshop to manipulate images and edit text and buttons, and then using JSON create animated banners which are published online across various websites.I update and create email templates by changing a HTML file and use conditionallogic to pull in dynamic content of different customers, which is then uploaded toAdobe Campaign Manager. These jobs are briefed in with me through various ProjectManagers who I have strong working relationships with allowing me to understandtheir needs for the job better.In my role I regularly update and create email templates by changing a HTML file and use conditional logic to pull in dynamic content of different customers which is then uploaded to Adobe Campaign Manager. Creating a personalised customer experience through conditional logic means that customers are more likely to engage with our emails and create more business for the organisation .I work closely with Account Managers in the sign off process where I simplify complicated technological jargon to enable both the Account Managers and our stakeholders to have a full understanding of the digital possibilities in the creation process.

While I was at Selfridges as a freelance developer I implemented a new set of emails for the Journey Emails project. This was a pivotal acquisition project to encourage further engagement from newly acquired customers who had signed up to the Selfridges newsletter.As part of this I utilised my HTML and CSS skills in a new system that was being introduced called SalesForce where I would create and arrange content blocks and write and modify the HTML to achieve the desired look as given by the brief. Through SalesForce I created, checked, changed the parameters when needed and analysed the use of dynamic tags to improve on the customer experience as this was key to delivering on our B2C KPI targets.I also supported with the creation of day-to-day customer engagement emails where I was given briefs to modify preexisting HTML templates in a code editor and change and add modules where necessary to achieve the email template to style guidelines. Doing this I often had to deliver on these briefs to a high standard and short deadline.At Selfridges I also generated through my comprehensive knowledge of Photoshop, high end images and graphics to add to both introductory and engagement emails and would consistently incorporate them into email templates using Adobe Scene7. Like throughout my career, I'm always very interested to learn new softwares and systems and pick them up very easily when working at Selfridges.

During my three months at General Assembly, I worked on various projects using different technologies that were taught by industry experts.Project 4, Playlistergithub.com/jackdurham/wdi-fourth-projectplaylister-app.herokuapp.com/Playlister is a RESTful app using a MERN stack; MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js that allows you to keep track of music and artists that you like by adding a video using the YouTube API to your profile for later viewing. You can also follow others users to see what they are up to. I also used Bootstrap CSS only and also some of my own styling. You also had the ability to view and comment on other users reviews. Moving forward with this app I would like to create a users profile page so you can see what reviews a user has left.Project 1, Shoot a Hoopgithub.com/jackdurham/wdi-first-projectshoot-a-hoop.herokuapp.com/Shoot a Hoop is a simple JavaScript based game I created for my first project at General Assembly. There is a hoop at the top of the screen moving from side to side and you have to shoot the ball into the hoop when the two line up, with each score the hoop gets quicker.

I started in this job as an apprentice but was quickly offered a full timeposition for once the apprenticeship was up. My roles and duties includedbooking goods in and out of stock, raising purchase orders to suppliers,liaising with customers and purchasers for whatever items they may need andalso maintaining and checking stock levels which if they were low I would thenreorder using the internal system SAP, this was the start of me getting used tonew technologies that I had never used before.
