I am a SOC Analyst, soon to graduate from Rutgers Business School with a degree in Management Information Systems. At DefendEdge, I work as part of a team to monitor and mitigate threats to an organization's IT infrastructure. On a daily basis, I perform log monitoring, network assessments, threat analysis, and security audits using tools such as SIEM and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms to prevent and remediate cybersecurity incidents, thereby protecting various client systems and promoting productivity. I remediate security incidents under defined SLAs, complete security audits, and execute endpoint security monitoring tasks, event triage, and incident responses, enhancing our detection and response to advanced threats. My role involves identifying potential security gaps and offering solutions to improve internal team efficiency, product performance, and client security posture. I coordinate with team members and management to investigate, document, and report incidents, and collaborate with the Threat Analysis Unit to produce in-depth reports on confirmed security incidents and technical threat advisories on emerging threats. I manage records of all security events and incident response activities using case management and ticketing systems and implement best practice security policies for clients, addressing 100% of their business needs while protecting vital corporate assets. Engaging in Security Operations responsibilities such as documentation, basic malware analysis, exceptions tracking, security tool management, tuning, configuration, and metrics reporting.In addition to my cybersecurity expertise, I am the co-owner of TidalSoftWash, an exterior cleaning business that specializes in providing high-quality soft washing and pressure washing services to residential & commercial clients. Our services are designed to effectively clean and protect properties from the damaging effects of dirt, mold, mildew, and algae, ensuring that our clients' properties remain pristine and well-maintained.
