History is my favorite expanded universe. I search for the best stories to share with a growing fandom for the past and connect passionate fans to opportunities for further learning.I’ve had a passion for online video, both as a viewer and a creator, ever since I was 14 creating sketch comedy after school with my best friend. It’s an accessible and creative medium that still feels like the Wild West compared to traditional media. While I was studying how to tell a compelling story at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, I was applying what I learned on set and in the classroom towards the creation of my web series.Every day I’m honing a different set of skills, whether that’s drafting the narrative for an episode, directing a team in production, prospecting potential sponsors, or just getting lost in a Wikipedia rabbit hole and learning about nuclear physics at 11PM. Most rewarding, however, is getting to talk with the community that’s grown up around my channel. I still read every new comment the day it comes in because I love getting to hear about stories I’ve never heard of, or how my videos have helped people to understand and share their own part of the world, or how it turns out we both like the same Finnish metal band I made a two-second reference to.
