I was fully trained, TIG coded and competent in fabrication and welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium materials. In addition to this, I have taken supplementary training in titanium pipe and plate TIG welding tests in order to fulfil existing contracts. My main area of responsibility was to assemble and fabricate the main cradle assembly for the M777 Field Howitzer for the USA military. In addition to the above I was also involved with the routine maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment which included a period of mechanical fittingwork. 2005 – May 2009 – BAE Systems Marine Ltd. Served a 4 year Apprenticeship in Advanced Engineering with BAE Systems Marine Ltd, 4 years EMTA training split between BAE Systems Yards and Furness College learning a variety of engineering skills, before specialising as a Fabricator Welder.
