I began my career at the BBC’s Political Research Unit based in Westminster.During a time of transition in the department, I helped create a new researcher role located centrally in the newsroom that provided bespoke briefs for the Political Editor and correspondents across the BBC.Was part of the launch team for the BBC’s “Reality Check” brand.I planned and set up speaker events around the political calendar for BBC News.I was a field budget at set piece events, such as the budget and party conferences, and around Westminster.Reported irregularly for BBC Parliament and appeared on air for Reality Check, the BBC News Channel and Brexitcast.Wrote lighter political and trivia items for BBC News Online from the Westminster newsroom.

I was a key regular member of the BBC’s production team for Election night from 2014 through to 2022.During this period I was a researcher and brief writer for David Dimbleby and Huw Edwards as lead anchor of the BBC’s election night coverage.OB editor / Senior Journalist for Scottish Election OB from Holyrood in 2021 with Kirsty Wark.Senior Producer for Emily Maitlis (2016 Election) & Jeremy Vine (2016 US Election).

Represented 800 BBC News staff under 30 as part of the inaugural Under 30s BBC News panel.Attended the highest editorial meetings in the building - including during the 2017 General election.Supported, nurtured and championed young talent across the organisation. Set a template as a member of the first Under 30s Panel for across the organisation. Since then Young Talent Networks and Under 30 Panels have blossomed across the BBC.
