June 2024 - July 2024: I returned to Astound Broadband for an additional 7 weeks in the summer of 2024. I continued to work on Tie-out and other variance report files that I had worked on during my previous summer. I expanded upon my work through building financial models for the annual budget. This included creating forecasting one time expense data for all 13 regions of the company. This summer I expanded upon my prior knowledge and continued to learn more about the different sides of Financial Planning and Analysis. I was thrown into a wider variety of projects this summer including variance analysis and high level reconciliations. I was also a part of the Astound Broadband Intern Program which provided me workshop opportunities where I learned from experienced members of the company.May 2023 - July 2023: Experienced a ten-week internship working under the Senior Vice President of Finance. Over that period, I worked on numerous financial reports spanning the entire company. I worked on analyzing these reports to determine what areas or accounts were causing large variances between the budget and actual results. I was also involved in rolling forward financial reports so that they could be finalized for presentations in which the reports were used by the CEO and CFO in board meetings. Throughout the entire internship I created a 'Data Dictionary' in Excel from scratch which included a list of accounts used across the company and included information such as the natural account and whether the account was a recurring or non-recurring cost. This dictionary is still being adapted and used in the corporate finance department today.May 2022 - June 2022: Three week internship as part of high school curriculum where I worked under Senior VP of Finance. Over the internship period, I worked through financial tasks and sat through meetings to gain information. At the end of the internship I created and presented a presentation about my experience and learnings.
