Reporting directly to the EVP of Planning and Analysis, I am responsible for all analysis and reporting of IT and Operations business activities in support of the Chief Information Officer, including annual plans, 5 year business plans and periodic forecasting, the financial administration for all offshore resources (250 FTE), monitored big data infrastructure capital projects, delivering Firm-wide technology/ operations cost distributions and providing back office cost components for all business development opportunities. The technology and operations team fields 700 staff resources across the US, Europe and Asia and incurs an annual expense of $89 million. Achievements:• Member of the technology investment steering committee tasked with prioritizing new initiatives• Redesigned IT infrastructure allocation metrics to focus on true cost drivers to align incremental big data costs to business revenues to better assess product profitability.• Instituted a total cost of ownership metric coordinating all IT and operations cost in support of specific product offerings. • Implemented purchase order process for all outsourcing activities to eliminate expense “surprises” due to lack of transparency regarding commitments.• Integrated Ireland operations team into global time reporting process to improve global project reporting transparency.

Director of Technology Strategic Planning and Analysis; reporting directly to Technology group Chief Operating Officer with direct access to the Chief Information Officer, I provided all planning and forecasting, financial administration for offshore resources (160 FTE), delivered Firm-wide technology cost allocations and provided timely interpretation and dissemination of technology financial information. The technology team fielded 760 staff and incurred an annual expense of $300 million. Achievements:• Created software development project reporting and cost allocation system for management and Fund accounting using only in-house resources. Reporting reflects both people and infrastructure costs.• Developed a technology cost reporting dashboard tool for senior managers/COOs to reflect all IT development and infrastructure costs at a summary level with available drill down capability down to a project and infrastructure service usage level. • Initiated Firm-wide disaster recovery cost policies.• Established standard record retention policies and proactively managed retention actions to minimize storage costs while maintaining regulatory standards.• Streamlined vendor management for our offshore resource provider to simplify billing, rate negotiation and issue resolution.• Managed conflict resolution of substantially all IT expense management issues across all business segments via negotiation and cost transparency.• Monitored HW/SW purchases for compliance to budget and technology framework.
