Worked 40 hours a week for around 12 weeks across summer where I worked in a completely new industry. Learnt on the job and by the time I went back to university I didn't want to leave as the work environment was so positive and the skills I developed were useful.

I was a part-time employee for Tesco during the summer of 2021, this on paper would seem like an easy job, however, the grueling task of getting up at 5 am, 5 days a week really did make it difficult. I gained lots of skills from working in the world of retail, albeit for a small amount of time.

My first job where i started off as Kitchen Porter initially (typical) and worked my way to preparing food and drink serving customers. I was provided with barista training by Devon Coffee Company in Faraday Mill Business Park in Plymouth.Opening back up after lockdown was a daunting task as i was tasked to do my first solo shift (under supervision) found it tough initially but pushed through the stress. Fantastic first job, learning the ropes.
