Started up and managed Avatar Inc.(a Utah based organization), programs and projects for people with developmental disabilities in California, including an initial six-bed Intermediate Care Facility, two additional intermediate care facilities for people with developmental disabilities and nursing needs, a crisis-management program for people with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges, and supported-living programs. Wrote funded program proposals Provided front-line supervision and training, supervision and training of managerial personnel, and supervision of office support staff. Wrote and oversaw implementation of treatment planning. Insured compliance with State and Federal regulations of multiple state and federal agencies. Coordinated services and supports with numerous outside agencies and individuals.

Promoted from Direct Care staff person to Supervisor of one residential program to Director of two residential programs for people with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injury.
