• Ability to effectively diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, drive gears and electrical systems for Commercial Fleet operations, including trailer repair.• Maintain equipment in accordance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for all Heavy Duty vehicles and maintain files as required.• Good knowledge of the BJ Services Maintenance Standard Practices Manual and the Standard Practices Manual.• Supervised and trained new hire mechanics in maintenance, repair, safety procedures and other work regulations.• Ability to identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques.• Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.• Coordinated work schedules of new hires and reviewed work to ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.• Utilize personnel based on expertise to ensure performance is at the most efficient level.• Coordinate with dispatch the utilization of equipment for jobs while maintaining a proper Preventive Maintenance schedule for all vehicles involved.• Knowledge of OSHA compliance and regulations.• Ability to use gas / electric welding equipment.Experience in using the JD Edwards Vehicle Maintenance computer software work order system• Provide assistance to District personnel regarding maintenance topics.• Over 20 years of maintaining Liquid Nitrogen Equipment owned by BJ Services. Good understanding of how Liquid Nitrogen Equipment operates and able to maintain equipment in efficient manner.• Experience in maintaining and repairing Fluid Pumping equipment.• Have a working knowledge of the operations, repairs and maintenance, as well as, the design and implementation of Hydraulic systems on trucks.• Responsible for purchasing parts for Repairs and Maintenance as needed.• Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
