As a member of the Financial Markets Program at UMD, I have gained real world experience in Equity Research, Portfolio Management, Financial Analysis, Financial Modeling, and presenting my findings to my classmates with my sector partner. The Bulldog Fund LLC has a net worth around $3,000,000 of real money that consists of 50 companies. I personally cover the industrial sector in the Bulldog Fund LLC. The companies I cover with my sector partner include GNRC, VRSK, ODFL,CTAS, and CPRT. We actively manage these companies by writing earnings reports, conducting research, allocating portfolio weights, creating DCF models, and providing weekly updates through presentations and emails. Some other great experiences I have been able to get out of this program is having the opportunity to participate in the CFA research challenge, being able to create and present beta ideas, and learning how important it is to understand the macroeconomic environment.
