Worked in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) branch of the Engineering Department.Mastered CAD formats (Creo) Major section of the internship was using my knowledge of CAD to create the models and then use the 3D printer on site to physically make these parts. Worked with the testing department to administer tests on products to ensure that they met the regulations put in place by ASME and Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). This included preforming load tests, tip tests, and cycle tests on different products. Worked with a variety different file formats and facilitated in the transition from one format to another.Was promoted to lead engineer on a project. This opportunity allowed me to further my experience on the technical side of the industry, but also introduced me to the business side of it as well. I created and adjusted a business plan for the project, reached out to manufacturers to obtain prices, and analyzed the business plan to make sure that if the product would hit market that a profit would be made.
