Planned care supervisor in Ealing referral hub, open 8am- 4pm for non-urgent care. Responsible for 15 staff and 10 volunteers, conducting supervisions and training. My team is responsible for processing over 3,000 referrals a month, processing bookings and take calls for MSK, in which I am responsible for answering complex inquiries for the services, organise the waiting lists and send texts and letters to patients to call and book appointments. I organise clinical improvement groups for services to organise feedback and promote development.

• This is a front of house role that oversees building operations for referral clinics, including Podiatry, children Paediatric services, Speech and Language, physiotherapists, and Children’s mental health services. I support a wide demographic of patients of all ages, being consistent with dementia patients and being clear and compassionate with neuro-disabilities and mental health disorders.• Our team is also responsible for all admin for the Podiatry service, booking in patients from priority-keyed waiting lists, sending out reminders and dealing with any data inputting tasked by senior podiatrists. This aspect of the role has trained my ability in prioritizing daily tasks as dealing with building operations, room bookings and administrative work requires effective skills to operate proficiently.• Additionally, my role requires me to work at 6 centres in Leeds, adopting different work practices and learning different tasks for all sights. Each centre organises the room bookings for each service and maintains coordination of the clinics being delivered. A relief role requires supporting centres backdated with work, and I have been crucial in the team to support backlogs of work from the pandemic as well as the staffing crisis.

Apart of my Industrial year for my MPsyc degree, I joined a challenging new role within a special needs school focused on behaviour and communication.Within my time, I learnt more about Autism, a spectrum learning disorder in which I will be focusing my research project around. I learnt valuable de-escalation techniques, about the sensory needs from neuroscientists and was even able to present my own training sessions, to teach staff about the complexities of the disorder.
