Scanning & Mobility Products NPI team and Partnering with Engineering team to expedite VE/CE projects, Process Compliance and Optimization within APAC

Lead OEM/ODM team to drive strategic sourcing activities including productivity, commercial terms negotiation, NPI and supplier relationship management etc. Partner with marketing and successfully introduced air touch/water etc star products to grow the business.

Lead sourcing team of commodity including OEM/ODM, supplier quality, NPI and procurement across AP region including recruiting, goal setting, performance assessment, coaching and development, process improvement and standardization, maximizing procurement spend and process synergies, strategy development/implementation, and being the sourcing expert for AP organization. Key responsibilities listed as below: 1. Conduct market research to understand supply market dynamics and provide market insights for business partners2. Develop commodity strategy to align with business strategy, and sponsor cross-function teamwork in order to effectively execute commodity strategy3. Plan and execute supplier negotiations to obtain best-in-class pricing, terms and conditions, establish a continuous project deck pipeline and conduct regular reviews to deliver to an Annual Operation Plan (AOP)4. Drive the productivity, working capital, lead time reduction, hedging, e-sourcing and other sourcing activities required to maximize the financial contribution5. Work on SIOP process together with business partners and drive supplier’s capacity planning to ensure the supply 6. Identify supplier development opportunity and define the programs that optimize supplier performance such as VA/VE7. Negotiate Strategic Supplier Agreement or Private Label Supply Agreement with the suppliers to mitigate business risk8. Develop and implement sourcing plans together with the related parties for NPI projects in order to ensure that the projects are launched on schedule, with target BOM cost and quality9. Promote and monitor early supplier involvement in key NPI product developments using the supplier’s expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability, lead supplier workshop review with suppliers to drive DFM principles10. Deploy standard sourcing processes to drive the results and continuously seek opportunities to optimize process efficiency and effectiveness through Lead initiatives

1. Lead sourcing team to develop commodity strategies in the region together with Global Commodity Managers, and acquire regional supply base / market intelligence etc. 2. Conduct strategic procurement activities with related parties such as sourcing, negotiation, benchmarking, purchasing contract, complaint handle, expedition of service, internal and external process and procedure development and training etc.3. Provide leadership and direction for the team to ensure sourcing targets are achieved and strategies are implemented. 4. Support operation sites on resourcing and cost-reduction activities, and ensure projects are completed on time including releasing RFI/RFQ, monitoring progress and milestone, and communicating status with appropriate parties.5. Interact with internal and external parties with a view to define and determine cost-saving opportunities which are available for the company such as material substitution, VA/VE etc.6. Conduct supplier audit and assessment including quality system and sustainability (E.H.S.), make sure suppliers conform to Corporate Procurement’s requirements.7. Communicate with local sites on sourcing practices and Global preferred suppliers to rationalize the supplier base.8. Analyze China economic situation and market development to report the impact on sourcing strategies.

1. Manage Motor & Sealed System commodities from the quality perspective, including quality system audit, process survey, supplier training, R134a audit, daily performance monitoring, PPAP, supplier evaluation for SSD etc.2. Lead improvement work for key suppliers who failed in Whirlpool’s assessment to ensure the supplier comply with Whirlpool’s quality criteria in a timely manner, and implement Black Belt projects to improve suppliers’ performance.3. Facilitate problem solving process, handle customer complaint from Whirlpool oversea plant and give feedback in time.4. Establish long-term supply relationship; maintain regular contact and communications with China suppliers and Whirlpool quality/technology personnel worldwide.
