• Interviews, supervises, develops, mentors, and coordinates the schedules of the production staff.• Works directly with Class-Y and ITAR customers to make sure all requirements are addressed on production parts. • Understands and assists in ITAR control of products, drawings, and any other related materials.• Assists engineering team in designing, installing and commissioning new production processes and tooling, monitors modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoots existing processes.• Selects, manages and works with sub-contractors as related to engineering and production.• May serve on the corrective action review board and will review actions assigned to the department for implementation.• Observes and measures performance daily and makes adjustments to achieve monthly metrics. Frequent review of spreadsheets, yield, output and results.• Maintains high standards to key plant performance metrics including: Safety, maintenance, OTD, quality, production.• Calculates expense plans and coordinates purchases with supply management as needed. Seeks approval from production manager or plant manager with evidence.• Prepares reports, flow diagrams, SPC, CAD drawings and charts as requested.• Participates in hiring, promotions, firing, performance reviews and disciplinary processes as needed. Works closely with human resources and plant management.• Works daily directly with production employees (operators, inspectors, technicians, engineers). Manages employee interactions with respect and development in mind.• Promotes safe work practices and reviews accident investigations if applicable.• Works closely with quality department, other departmental supervisors/managers, production manager, EHS, Scheduling, supply management and planning daily.• Reports departmental deliverables to plant production manager and/or plant manager as needed monthly. • Models professional and ethical behavior in reporting and decision making.

· Work closely with Process Engineers for data collection, engineering tests, data analysis, process improvements, machine programming, documentation, tooling design and drawing review for all Flip Chip products.· Create and revise work instructions and process records for:- Shibuya automated BGA machine- SMT rework- Sonoscan Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (C-SAM)- CMT Laser marking- CA Laser marking- Class-Y product shearing and tensile test per MIL-STD-883· Prepare presentations and technical reports for new product, machine and process qualification.· Train operators and technicians on new or existing machine or process, including any documents revision and updates.· Support Flip Chip production on:- BGA process on both manual and automated method- Furnace set-up and program- EKRA solder paste printer program and troubleshoot- Laser marking- Electrical test- C-SAM and ThruScan- Capacitor shear, die shear, tensile test preparation- SMT rework- Seam seal- Bombing and leak test· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for machine maintenance, equipment repairs and enhancements, software upgrade, tooling replacement and new equipment evaluation.· Assist Quality Engineers to investigate root causes, construct Continuous Improvement Assessments report and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. · Establishes process and builds prototype level products to ensure customer quality and delivery requirements. May oversee the starting, running, and upgrading of manufacturing processes to maximize productivity without sacrificing quality requirements

· Responsible for BGA attachment in flip chip operation in 2nd shift and demonstrate strong capability of the process· Fully responsible for substrate pre-tinning and BGA ball attach. Supported engineering to evaluate solder paste printing fixture design optimization and flux cleaning process to eliminate substrate chipping and flux cleaning stains issue. Customer return due the poor quality has been significantly reduced.· Support quality check and electrical test utilizing various test and measurement equipment· Support seam seal process for Class Y flip chip device. The tasks include vacuum prebake, seam seal, helium bombing, gross bombing and fine and gross leak test.· Support flip chip solder flux cleaning with Aqueous Trident Flux Cleaner and In-line Flux Cleaner· Support capacitor attachment of Class Y flip chip assembly on Fuji 1 · Support process engineers on process improvement and new process development during second shift.· Always willing and capable of learning new processes and accept new responsibility.· Strong teamwork and always willing to support coworkers whenever the help is needed.
