LaunchPad is a student organization at Purdue University that provides incoming computer science freshmen with an upperclassman mentor to work on a project of their choosing over the fall semester.- Served as an organizer and part of the events team to design and plan events that foster collaboration and innovation among students, e.g. workshops and networking.- Coordinated logistics in venue booking, catering, and marketing to ensure high attendance.- Designed presentations and recruiting events with 100+ student attendance.

Led an independent research project at the Indiana University School of Medicine.- Studied under the mentorship of Dr. Yunlong Liu, Director at the Center for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, and Dr. Danielle Janosevic, DO.- Derived miRNA activity levels from single-cell mRNA expression data from acute kidney injury (AKI) tissue.- Generated prediction models, heatmaps, and regression analysis for output data.- Analyzed the viability of using miRNA activity data to define sepsis progression in AKI.- First author to the abstract submitted and accepted for presentation at the Society of Critical Care Medicine's 51st Annual Congress: "miRNA Activity Reveal Mediators of Translation Shutdown in Sepsis-Associated Acute Kidney Injury"

Assisted Dr. Chuanpeng Dong, et. al on the study of intron retention and its connection to the amount of neoantigens found in cancer cells with correlation to multiple myeloma prognosis.- Performed statistical analysis and correlation study on the number of neoantigens in cancer cells with multiple myeloma progression.- Assisted with the drafting, editing, and proofreading of the research manuscript.- Co-authored the research paper published to Oncogene: "Intron retention-induced neoantigen load correlates with unfavorable prognosis in multiple myeloma"
