Jack is a freelancer oft found at GQ, where he has been on the culture desk for the last couple of years, writing on film and telly from The Last of Us to Fallout and Saltburn. He’s also written profiles, reviews and Q&As for Vulture, The Guardian, BBC Culture, and The Face, among others. Other clients for word-making-related assignments include Cineworld, BAFTA and the BFI.Way back when, Jack managed Curzon Goldsmiths, a quaint little cinema on the Goldsmiths University campus in South East London (2017-2021). He took up an additional role as the venue's Programme Curator in October 2019, directing both the Curzon Goldsmiths programme and the annual Goldsmiths film festival, Gold on Film. All in all, it was four years of free movies, conversations about said free movies, and important adult things — like financial management, marketing and operational strategy. Which are more than buzzwords he has thought of on the spot. He promises.
