Working on the Conceptual Framework Measurement chapter, accounting for commodities, and potential improvements to disclosures for financial institutions. Also the PTA assigned to academic activities, the Private Company Council, and the Oversight committee.

Worked primarily on a client with international operations. Formatted and imported trial balances for the parent company and all 20 subsidiaries. Performed cash confirmations, accounts payable testing, as well as a variety of expense testing including cost of sales, operating expenses, and legal expense.

Assisted audit teams on an ad-hoc basis. Had the opportunity to lead the completion of planning forms for an employee benefit plan audit. Performed substantive testing on a revenue examination for a client with annual revenue exceeding $50 million. Also performed substantive testing to ensure the completeness and accuracy of investments for a large client.

Worked primarily with the Strategic Reporting team, continuing to prepare the CFO report each month. Also worked closely with a new Area Vice President to ensure he had the data and accompanying analysis he needed to understand the demographics and previous results in the area he was newly responsible for.

Although still under the Financial Operations umbrella, worked primarily for the Planning & Budget team in Marketing. Led an effort to transition external advertising contracts in-house by planning and facilitating meetings with 5 teams in 3 departments to ensure everyone understood the internal controls being put in place. Also began preparing the monthly CFO report which summarizes the results of the business each month for State Farm's CFO.

Worked primarily with the Financial Regulatory Reporting team preparing internal reports summarizing activity in the previous month or quarter broken down by business line. Also had the opportunity to work closely with other interns to analyze data and prepare a report and accompanying presentation for senior management on liklihood of a claim being filed based on the model and year of car being driven.
