About Jack Krone, Bsc, Dvm
Hi! I'm Jack a new graduated Swine Veterinarian, thrilled to be in a new position at Prairie Livestock Veterinarians. As well as my DVM, I have a BSc in Animal Bioscience from the University of Saskatchewan, as a component of this degree I completed a research thesis in Swine Nutrition, examining urea recycling mechanisms. Previous experiences in Canada have involved dairy and swine practice, communication in dairy veterinary practice research, mixed animal practice and swine nutrition research. My love of production animal medicine stems from rural roots in the United Kingdom where my family has a beef farm, and was nurtured by two years spent exploring Dairy, Sheep, and Swine Production in New Zealand and Australia. I now live in lovely Edmonton, in the heart of the Canadian Prairies, with my fantastic wife Megan and our lovely mutt Kodi. We enjoy riding, bikes and horses, snow shoeing, board games, and cooking together in our spare time.
