About Jack Lennon

Irish and Australian citizen, with a BSc (Hons) in sports coaching and performance from South-East Technological University, Waterford, where I graduated in 2022 with a 2:1 average.I am a highly ambitious and determined coach who wants to advance in the profession and continue to obtain coaching licenses. Throughout my coaching career, I have grown and gathered a catalogue of experiences and accomplishments, including coaching roles in men's and women's football in the Republic of Ireland as well as men's football in England and the United States.I have shown during my coaching career a competency in the creation of coaching plans to improve and aid in the development of the players under my direction in both first-team and academy age groups.I also have experience in strength and conditioning, performance analysis, and creating fitness plans for athletes to help them meet the physical demands of the elite sport. I also have proficiency in the analysis side of the game, offering players and managers feedback and comments on team and individual performance as well as analysis and feedback on the opposition.

    • A club/school link was created between a local primary school called Scoil Bhrίde Primary School Edenderry and Edenderry Town Football Club to promote soccer in the community. • My role was to go into the school over a period of 4 months to complete four sessions and provide coaching sessions which were fun, enjoyable, and engaging for the pupils. • The sessions were completed every Friday over this period and done with eight classes throughout the day. • The sessions were completed by three 4th class groups, one 5th class group and four 6th class groups and each session lasted a half an hour.• Each of the four sessions over the four months were completed using a different theme of the day.• The aim was to promote soccer and to try and encourage kids to join soccer but other sports too by showing how fun it can be to get involved• Each class at between 24-29 pupils so it was a good experience for me also to get to look after such numbers and gain experience too.• The programme was a success as it seen both numbers increase in both the girls and boys side of the game for Edenderry Town FC
