Department authorized payments for claims from long term care facilities serving CalOptima beneficiaries and provided direct services through grant funded programs; responsible for policy analysis and business development for programs and services targeting aged, blind and disabled beneficiaries with community and or facility based long term care issues. Successfully secured first contract with California Department of Aging and Department of Health Services for the Multipurpose Senior Services Program.

Reportin directly to the Chief Financial Officer, provided program development support for Healthy Families Program, primarily as the chief liaison and project manager to the CA Department of Corporations for CalOptima’s successful application for a full "Knox-Keene” license for managed healthcare organizations.
