Summer Intern
At Alt Construction, I shadowed different superintendents across various job sites and helped them complete various tasks such as fetching material, performing measurement calculations, and various misc labors. Some tasks I did would include: fire caulking, installing windows, cleaning, and overseeing concrete pours. I also learned how to operate a skid steer, and learned how to move material, clear rubble, and safely operate the machine. The highlight of my internship would be walking with the owner and helping the superintendent take notes of what the owner wanted done, as well as being involved with the multiple Fire Marshall inspections to pass fire code.
