Border Services Officer
CurrentTrained in Rigaud, QC for 24 weeks at the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) College. Training including but was not limited to proper enforcement of multiple acts of government, control and defensive tactics using multiple tools, firearms training and pistol qualification, processing travellers, search and seizure processes, evidence handling, investigation, interview/interrogation skills, etc. Posted to Douglas Port of Entry (POE) south of Vancouver, BC. Involved in many cases, arrests, and seizures of drugs, weapons, and goods. Received certification as a Ministers Delegate for the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. Involved on many immigration cases to determine a travellers admission or rejection stay in Canada. Worked assignments in the Yukon Territory (Little Gold Creek POE) and Montreal (Refugee surge at Roxham Road near the St. Bernard de Lacolle POE). Currently posted to Victoria Marine Operations which services all the points of entry in the Greater Victoria area.
