- Performed the role of a Collapse Testing Technician by managing time constraints of assigned projects, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and sectioning steel pipeline material for tensile testing according to ASTM standards.- After successfully demonstrating an understanding of the technical and non-technical aspects of the position, I was promoted to the Rapid Response Team. As a member of this team, I gained more autonomy in the management of my projects and I was able to take on more difficult, failure analysis work.- Hydrostatically pressure tested over 200 steel pipes of varying size and grade to failure and recorded results into MS excel.- Performed hydrogen content analysis on synthetic slag and mould powder which was suspected to cause problems when the steel was casted. Proposed a possible cause of contamination during shipping, where weather history related to synthetic slag moisture content where the product was shipped from.
