- Supervised the Maintenance Term Contracts for Gosport Borough Councils Civic Buildings, Inspected for defects, issued instructions to contractors, prepared and agreed specifications and completed work standards and authorised invoices for payment;- Managed and coordinated the major projects of re-writing the Town Hall with a budget of £75k. Liased with Southern Electricity Plc for tender and commencement at very short notice. Programmed the work schedules keeping some areas with live power, and causing as little disruption to client departments as possible. Organised access and agreed routes for contractors. Inspected completed work for acceptance;- Performed condition surveys for schools, list all buildings constructed, materials faults, estimated likely life and prepared recommendations and repairs report for Govenors. Provided the same service for the Royal Naval Submarine Museum;- Represented the Council as Duty Holder for Electricity at Work and Fire Regulations, and all other safety issues covered by Health and Safety at Work Acts, and COSHH;- Communications officer in the event of Civil Emergencies.
