Growing up with three siblings, things were always fairly chaotic in our house, and I had to learn how to keep myself calm even in environments where a lot is happening, which has helped me greatly with my previous positions. Additionally, living in a home with five other people gave me a greater appreciation for personal interaction, and has caused me to seek out job opportunities in which I am able to work alongside other people.In all of my job opportunities, I have thankfully been given the chance to work with others and be part of a team, not feeling like I had been left to my own devices at all times. In my experience as a camp counselor, I was forced to adapt to unique situations every day, while also working with a diversity of people and personalities, most of whom I had not met more than a couple of weeks beforehand. Additionally, in helping the kids have the best time they could, I was able to embrace the more fun side of my personality.Similarly, my work as a research assistant, let me work with both kids and other adults, albeit in a very different environment. I was able to learn techniques for ensuring the proper steps were being taken in any administrative process, and through my work recruiting learned more about how to connect with others and engage in successful networking.In future positions, I hope to be able to engage with other unique individuals and be able to work in new situations every day. I have become successful in these types of environments and can use the skills gained at previous jobs in order to be an effective employee in the future. I also would love the chance to get to work as part of a team and assist in achieving group goals, as I often have more success working in a team instead of on my own.
