.Jack Marks has over 25 years of fund raising and development experience. He began his career in higher education working at liberal arts colleges in the Midwest and East, progressing to a major fund raising program at Ohio State University. He moved to Arizona in 1983 to direct Arizona State University's first capital campaign with a goal of $100 million. Later Jack joined a consulting firm in San Francisco that specialized in hospital capital campaigns. He returned to Arizona in 1989 to help complete the fund raising effort to construct the Herberger Theater Center. In 1991, Jack and his wife Lois formed Marks Distributing, a wholesale specialty beverage distributorship, which they operated for 6 years. Jack returned to fund raising in 1998, as Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix. He joined St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, the world’s largest food bank, in 2004 as Chief Development Officer, where he directed its fund raising and food donation programs. He is currently Vice President of Development at the Beatitudes Campus, a nonprofit, continuing care retirement community.
