About Jack Matthews

After 40 years committed to the training and development of people across the globe, Jack believes that the opportunity is right for the development of a means for the pooling of the experience, knowledge and expertise of independent Training & Development practitioners and to share this on an international basis. CCP is being set up with the intention to engage with T&D professionals and practitioners and use that collective knowledge to support and assist management and staff across public and private sector organisations and government bodies. His experience gained across his many senior roles including as CEO of the UK Food Manufacturing Skills Council and his time with the International Skills Standards Organisation (INSSO), has in his view reinforced the need for a different approach to using the experience, knowledge and expertise of the worldwide pool of independent T&D and HR practitioners. He believes that a cooperative approach to the use of this expertise to support all organisations and countries engaged in developing their vocational skills base and a skilled workforce will create a repository of expertise and knowledge exceeding that of any other single source. The role of CCP is therefore to promote and share the benefits of the collective knowledge and practice of T&D practitioners through an organisation they all own and play a part in and develop a cooperative approach to the development of skills, people investment, economic growth and social inclusivity.

It provides a means for independent consultants to cooperate and work together on contracts and projects normally of a size and technical complexity that moves it beyond the reach of the single independent consultant. As such Independents who join CCP as consulting partners will be actively encouraged to take ownership of the organisation to ensure it remains focused on both the client and on the people who deliver their expertise through CCP. The CCP website will shortly be available (July 2015) to assist with the registration of interest by independents who see the route to delivering their personal knowledge and expertise through cooperation and collective contribution. The the terms of the Cooperative Consulting Partnership are very clear, once registration has been completed, consultants will be offered to take on the role of "Consulting Partner". As result they will not only gain from the the contribution of their own skills and expertise but also from the collective success of CCP .The skills of the world's working population and of those of the generations to come lies in the hands of those who can impart their knowledge, experience and expertise and in doing so leave a legacy they can truly say " I was part of this".
