Working at Nextremity Solutions (now Medartis) while transitioning from the University of Indianapolis to Grace College and Seminary was a big moment for me. I had a leadership role where I managed the inventory of materials, oversaw shipments and deliveries, and made sure everything was on track for production.This job helped me become a better leader and taught me important qualities that apply in any business setting. It also gave me a lot of experience in orthopedic manufacturing and exposed me to learning opportunities that are hard to come by at my age.I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity, which has helped me grow in my career and given me practical skills and knowledge that will be crucial for my future success.

During my second semester, senior year in high school, I made the decision to graduate early and I had the opportunity to work at Nextremity Solutions, now known as Medartis. This full-time job extended through the summer until I started my first semester at the University of Indianapolis.Working at Nextremity Solutions offered me hands-on experience in the dynamic and complex orthopedic industry. I was involved in a variety of tasks, ranging from supporting different departments on the manufacturing floor to understanding production line management. I gained a comprehensive understanding of each manufacturing process that produced orthopedic parts.The innovative technology and solutions in the orthopedic field fascinate me, and my experience at Nextremity Solutions has provided me with valuable knowledge and skills to pursue a career in this exciting industry.
