I enjoy my summers working part time as a raft guide on the South Fork of the American River. A typical day of guiding would include cooking 3 meals for up to 150 people, teaching the customers to raft by working as a team and successfully taking them down river. Good guides need to be outgoing, informative, fun, and responsible for their crew, raft and gear at all times.
