It's not often that skipping school sparks a lifelong love of something, but that is exactly what happened to me. I remember like it was yesterday. I was sitting in class and got called to the principal's office. The whole way there I was freaking out, "What did I do? Why am I in trouble? My Mom and Dad are gonna be so mad at me." But when I got to the office i saw my Grandpa, he told me we had to leave for a doctors appointment and that I wouldn't be back in time to finish the school day. Well, that doctors appointment turned out to be a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game, my very first one. I remember how fun and exciting it was to see all my favorite players (and to be skipping school). But that's where my love for baseball started and it has grown ever since.As I got older I got really into the numbers behind baseball. It started off with simple stats like ERA and BA. But now, I am really into all the super advance stats. The ones that truly tell you how good a player is, my favorite starts are ERA+ and OPS+. To say I am a diehard Cardinals fan and stat head would be underrated. I love everything about baseball and baseball statics. I am very good with numbers and using past data to predict the future. I also have experience in customer service, problem solving, critical thinking, and public speaking. In my spare time I even run a podcast all about Gen-z in the world of business (along with some sports talk). And to think, this all started when my grandpa pulled me out of school to watch a baseball game.
