Acting Inspector Jack Meikle is in his 20th year of Policing with the Edmonton Police Service. He is currently the Acting Inspector in charge of Serious Crimes Branch. The Branch includes Sexual Assault Section, Domestic Offender Crimes Section, and Child Protection Section. Child Protection Section is located at, and in partnership with the Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. Mid-career Jack completed his law degree at the University of Alberta and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2019 after taking a leave to complete articles with a global law firm in Edmonton. Acting Inspector Meikle has worked in Patrol, Beats, Patrol Criminal Investigations, Child Protection Section, Crime Suppression, Police Communications, and the Operations and Intelligence Command Centre (OICC). Jack also worked on the EPS Vision 2020 Project which was a large-scale organizational review and restructuring project initiated by Chief Dale McFee.
