-Responsible for the design, procurement, assembly and integration of prototypes for subsystems of an ultrasound guided laser (Nd-YAG) probe for treatment of the prostate.-Communicated with doctors and medical staff to clinically evaluate product performance and improve product design.-Developed product and tooling designs using AutoCAD.-Integrated ultrasound and navigational guidance into arterial catheter systems.-Designed, developed and clinically tested an interlocking coude' tip on the TULIP disposable sleeve-Supervised junior engineers and technicians.
-Project responsibilities included laser and balloon catheters, laser and standard guide wires and an atherectomy catheter.-Designed, developed and integrated new products and processes into manufacturing.-Provided engineering maintenance to existing product lines with an emphasis on cost and quality improvements.-Responsible for the maintenance and daily setup of all laser equipment in the laser testing facility.-Planned projects and communicated with support groups.-Developed and updated product and process specifications.
