Designed, developed and maintained new and existing disposable and reusable biopharmaceutical filtering products that addressed critical steps in the production of biologic drugs.

-Own the Engineering Responsibilities for more than 100 consumable and reusable products.-Work with cross functional teams though all phases of product development to introduce new products to market and to make improvements to existing products.-Create and maintain documentation for requirements, designs, test plans and test reports.-Plan and execute product verification activities in support product changes or new products.-Work with vendors to create new or improve existing products.-Analyze field issues related to mechanical design and provide solutions when required.

Ultrasound Transducers-Work closely with R&D to develop products and processes in support of new product introductions.-Lead teams of manufacturing engineers and technicians to introduce new products into production.-Design products and tooling using 2D & 3D CAD to produce ultrasound transducers.-Develop new and more efficient ways of assembling and testing transducers.-Technically support products currently in production by providing manufacturing floor support.-Project leader supporting OEM pediatric TEE probes supplied to Philips.-Interact with vendors to resolve problems and improve products.-Initiate projects to improve cost, quality, yields, and reliability.-Evaluate field returned products to determine deficiencies, use this information to improve existing products and develop more robust new products.-Provide feedback to field engineers as to reasons for probe failures.-Mentored new engineers.-Represent the Manufacturing Engineering Department on the Warranty Council, Quality Monitoring & CAPA Teams.

-Responsible for the design, procurement, assembly and integration of prototypes for subsystems of an ultrasound guided laser (Nd-YAG) probe for treatment of the prostate.-Communicated with doctors and medical staff to clinically evaluate product performance and improve product design.-Developed product and tooling designs using AutoCAD.-Integrated ultrasound and navigational guidance into arterial catheter systems.-Designed, developed and clinically tested an interlocking coude' tip on the TULIP disposable sleeve-Supervised junior engineers and technicians.

-Project responsibilities included laser and balloon catheters, laser and standard guide wires and an atherectomy catheter.-Designed, developed and integrated new products and processes into manufacturing.-Provided engineering maintenance to existing product lines with an emphasis on cost and quality improvements.-Responsible for the maintenance and daily setup of all laser equipment in the laser testing facility.-Planned projects and communicated with support groups.-Developed and updated product and process specifications.
