In January 2017 I started work for an up and coming company for the role as there main carpenter. After a few months of working there my managerial and organization skills were noticed and I was offered a site manager role. My duties included taking care of all cdms, health and safety requirements met, site inductions, time sheets, subcontractor prices and writing my own schedules for builds as well as material ordering and dealing with the customer. Projects varied all different budgets which have all been finished ahead of time which is something I am very proud of as well as all this I have still been on the tools when possible and if needed. A high-quality finish is something I have also taken pride in along with the problems I have had to get over in the process of the builds ie – unsafe structures, roofs working different to drawings, ground issues as well as planning and neighbour problems.

I decided to become self employed and start on my own due to there being lack of employment around when my previous employers had to shut due to the ressesion. Since then I have been in constant work from new build projects to restoration to just general carpentry and building. I have done a lot of work on set building for films, tv shows ect for flat earth. I have also done some work for the BBC and recently featured on diy sos you will also see in my achievements that I won an award for young businessman of the year 2015 and was a runner up in 2016. This was a nominated award which I was entered in by a customer I was renovating their hotel and pub back to traditional stature. Once nominated it went to a public vote which lead me to winning which I believe shows my hardworking ethic and ambition to succeed in my career to be in that completion for both years
