A highly experienced and passionate researcher who works with the vision to reduce health, social and employment inequalities, particularly with respect to socioeconomic status, gender and age. I am an internationally recognised researcher in retirement planning. I have also been awarded competitive funding to undertake research into unpaid caregiving, work ability, the psychosocial work environment, financial wellbeing and evaluation of ageing policy for the State of New South Wales. I have worked with organisations such as National Seniors Australia, Safe Work Australia, 45 & Up, The Salvation Army, Family and Community Services and the NSW Police Force. This work has included pure research, the development of outcome measurement frameworks and system thinking approaches to complex social issues. I have taught widely in health sociology, social policy and research methods at the tertiary level. I also work with organisations in the social purpose sector to build their capacity for outcomes measurement. Most recently, I have co-led a research project to develop the Collaboration Health Assessment Tool (CHAT). CHAT is a free online tool that collaborations can use to measure and track how well they are working together.
