ConsultantBelkin Aug 2009 - Nov 2012El Segundo, Ca, UsDesigned the hardware for a Verizon Droid dock for corporate environments. Using a physical ethernet connection, the product allowed the user to switch between a wired and 4G wireless connection while on a cell phone call. The product ran embedded Linux and incorporated Power over Ethernet, USB hubs and a speakerphone. Separately, on a WeMo project, helped debug several USB audio hardware problems.Wrote firmware in C for the AV360, an HDMI to DisplayPort video scalar/convertor developed in association with Apple. The project also included writing a Mac app that downloaded encrypted firmware which used a hash function to authenticate code updates through the AV360's embedded bootloader. -
FounderNt2 Feb 2019 - Aug 2020Designed and fabricated a prototype that has two main applications: one is a mobility assistant device for people with disabilities and the second is a micro-mobility alternative to scooters and e-bikes. Architected the multi-processor control system that drives the battery powered, motorized device. Employed a Nvidia Jetson to enable AI auto-navigation capabilities in addition to machine learning capabilities for operator observation and control overrides to maintain safe operation. Wrote the control software in C and Python which interfaces the electro-mechanical subsystems. Authored 3 patent applications covering a wide range of applications of the underlying technology.

President, FounderAdvanced Film Capture Jul 2009 - Nov 2012Led a cross functional team on the design of a 35mm motion picture digitizing system. This system leveraged state of the art image capture sensors with Apple image processing libraries to render 4k images with a dynamic range of over 12 bits. The system involved coordinating disciplines from ME/Firmware for the film handling and machine control, to EE for precisely timed high intensity LED illumination to Software for the Objective-C code to perform the image processing and final rendering. Duties involved writing the business plan which raised $1Million and keeping records to GAAP accounting standards.

Cto/FounderZero Wait 2000 - 2002Invented and led a cross functional team that demonstrated a vector based graphics system which minimized wireless download times; a technology upon which the company was founded. This system used cloud based computing to download the key elements of a web page so that a user could redirect to successive pages before the entire page was loaded. Image processing was used to incrementally render images so that a user could decide whether to continue with a page's download or click to the next link of interest. Three patent applications were authored and applied for.
