This typically involves undertaking large scale compensatory audits in areas of regulatory misconduct. Each DMS project involves the development of an audit methodology, which is then executed thousands of times by large teams of assessors (contracted workforce). My role within DMS was to assist in project scheduling and monitoring of the assessment teams, progress and to improve the control processes for managing client reporting. Although I was inexperienced in this field, I believe I added value, above what would be expected of a graduate, as I bought a degree of common sense and critical thinking to improve the current processes and mitigate the risk of future errors. I volunteered improvement suggestions, set and managed my work timeframes and was provided positive feedback on the logical and technical aspects of my work.During this time, I dramatically improved my technical skills in Excel and Power BI, as well as learning many of the soft skills required to work in an office, including working in geographically dispersed collaborative teams and using PowerPoint and Teams for presentations.
