The ANGRC CAT is the focal point for all ANGRC Crisis Action Responses worldwide. The AirNational Guard Crisis Action Team (CAT), in concert with the States, National Guard Bureau, Army National Guard, Active Duty military, and federal agencies, conducts crisis action and steady-state response and planning in support of federal and state operations. Also, responsible for ANGRC COOP operations planning, programing and executions. Responsible for directing the actions of 47 Functional Area Managers (FAMs) supporting responses to worldwide events. CAT operations include translating the Commanders Intent of the operation, providing direction to FAMs for CAT operations, and providing a process the FAMs can operate within to successfully complete their mission in support of worldwide ANGRC Crisis Operations. The NGB/A3 Director provides broad guidance; however,the CAT is primarily responsible for planning, execution and supervising all dailyoperations.

The Industrial College of the Armed Forces mission is to prepare selected military and civilians for strategic leadership and success in developing our national security strategy and in evaluating, marshalling, and managing resources in the execution of that strategy.Reflecting this joint and interagency perspective, 58 percent of the student body is composed of military representatives from the land, sea and air Services, 32 percent from the Departments of Defense and State and 10 other federal agencies, 8 percent international military officers, and 2 percent from the private sector and other memoranda of understanding (MOU). ICAF awards its graduates a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy. In addition, at the direction of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology [USD (A&T)], ICAF serves as the course provider for the Senior Acquisition Course directed by the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act. In this capacity, ICAF acts as a consortium college of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). Both the USD (A&T) and DAU provide oversight of the Senior Acquisition Course to ensure its relevance to acquisition personnel as the highest level acquisition course in the Department of Defense.

Develop strategic/coalition policy recommendations for MNF-I Commanding General that encompass: 1) US, operational, international, and rapidly evolving Iraqi law; 2) relevant historical/current intelligence; and 3) international/historical operational context. Identify and provide solutions for complex national legal impediments to successful execution of strategic-level campaign plan by synthesizing legal and policy considerations of the Iraqi Government, US Department of State and Department of Defense, and MNF-I coalition nations.
