• Research both deregulated and regulated markets for standalone storage to create BESS siting methodologies in target markets • Implement new siting methodology to identify promising BESS nodes• Conduct technical and economic BESS dispatch simulations to determine optimum power/duration sizing• Coordinate with BESS manufacturers and integrators to strategically plan projects

• Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on agrivoltaic Department of Energy grant proposal regarding novel PV tracking methods to maximize combined energy/crop production• Analyze N-1 contingency-based transmission capacity at various potential POIs using steady-state power flow modeling tool, writing own study data, monitor, and contingency files• Determine technical & economic competitiveness of proposed sites based on buildable area, transmission capacity, irradiation profile, interconnection type, tax rates, etc.• Develop metrics to evaluate and rank sites, institutionalize evaluation system for all sites• Develop methodology to optimize PV DC:AC ratio and to optimize hybrid solar plus storage sizing• Model energy generation performance of system via PVSyst, incorporating system losses and specific system components• Generate physical site CAD layout, including strategic inverter placement and point of interconnection• Create single-line diagram of PV system electrical configuration, determining wire sizing and grid connection method, including high-level system bill of materials• Construct electromagnetic transient simulation model on PSCAD, calibrating PPC controls and inverter protection settings, and conducting fault simulations on PV-only and PV + BESS systems

• Program & publish utility-wide NERC standards compliance-tracking dashboard on Power BI with dynamic deadlines• Research & present intelligent electronic device (IED) options based on technical analysis of various device attributes• Design auto-updating visualizations to track/analyze relay misoperations via pivot tables/charts for company VP• Evaluate potential substation backup-battery options, including lead acid, nickel-based, and lithium-ion systems

• Collect and analyze athlete activity data via GPS wearables, heart rate monitors, and force plates to optimize both real-time and long-term performance goals• Analyze match performance data (via self-created Visual Basic program) to determine position-specific effort levels required in various situations so practice can be optimized to these levels• Develop system to automatically determine target player loads for different days and automatically notify coaches if practice plan is above/under target load

• Run highly accelerated life testing (HALT) with regard to temperature, vibration, and voltage on tight schedule• Measure and record data using thermocouples, accelerometers, and in-house software• Analyze vast quantities of resultant data using self-made VBA program in Excel• Present and explain results and analysis to higher-level engineers on daily or weekly basis
