CurrentCurrently in Field Operations in Primary Upgrading at the Horizon Project. Day to day tasks consist of:-Multiple rounds and readings monitoring all equipment including various pumps; single and multi stage centrifugal, positive displacement, reciprocating, flooded screw and centrifugal compressors, steam driven impulse/reaction turbine, combined feed heaters, etc.-Overseeing maintenance taking place in unit.-Responding to equipment trips and emergency situations.-Competent in quick and effective troubleshooting of all equipment.-Ensuring a safe work environment.Currently Qualified in:•COKER ISLAND STRUCTURE•DECOKING CUTTING SYSTEM •SWITCH DECK•BLOWDOWN SYSTEM•DELAYED COKING UNIT (DCU)•GAS RECOVERY UNIT (GRU) Knowledge Aquired: •Troubleshooting of the major equipment and technically discussed on how to handle various emergencies. •Involved in start-ups, controlled shut downs and handled several emergencies such as equipment fires, crucial equipment trips/failures, flange leaks, etc successfully giving full regards to safe work practices. •Learned to manage time effectively which enabled myself to meet deadlines set on different tasks and anticipate needs ahead of time. . •Continuously recognizing and identifying major/minor process changes that impact unit performance •Took initiative on many occasions to gather appropriate resources to rectify problems •Learned to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in my business areaAccomplishments/Courses:• Fire Auxiliary Training• 1081 Industrial Fire Fighting Course• High Angle Rescue Training• S.C.B.A. / First Aid• Advanced CPR and De-fibrillation • O.S.S.A.
