Upon leaving university in which I studied for my MSc Finance degree, I found my way into the team at RBM Solutions. Since joining I have amassed a bounty of experience from processing UK based residential mortgages, UK based buy to let mortgages and placing a strong focus on Foreign Nationals and UK Expats looking to purchase buy to lets in the UK. This led to my progression within the business into my new role as Head of Overseas, where I still play a major part in the onboarding and processing of these cases, but I also manage a team which continue to work the cases while I split my focus into generating my own leads. Following this development, I began working with a number of landlords. The services I would provide ranged from managing portfolios, to sourcing new mortgages (no matter how complex!) and even finding investment properties which meet a set criteria provided by the client. When managing existing portfolios, I would work to ensure that the properties are working efficiently for the client and are maximising returns. I would also work to ensure that the client is notified when fixed rate periods are coming to an end so that we can get the re-mortgage process underway ahead of the curve. This is an important time for two reasons, the first being the obvious that we want to avoid the client making any payments after having reverted to the variable rate, and the second being that this is a great opportunity to discuss with the client if they want to release any equity and add another investment property to their portfolio. This essentially explains where I am at now! I am continuously seeking more landlords/potential landlords that I can build relationships with, in the hope that we can build/improve current portfolios or start a new portfolio.
