About Jack Phillips Moore
JACK PHILLIPS MOORE is a dramaturg, teacher and theater administrator with a focus on new play development.Jack works as the Associate Director of New Work Development at The Public Theater, where he serves the development of new plays and musicals as well as leading initiatives dedicated to artists. Projects Jack has dramaturged have premiered at theaters around the country and have won numerous honors including the Princess Grace Award, the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. He has also consulted on new work for The Lark, New Dramatists, Playwrights Realm, Long Wharf Theatre, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, The Playwrights Center, WP Theater, Colt Couer, and The Orchard Project, among many others.Jack has taught courses in theater history and dramaturgy at the Atlantic Theater School, NYU and Syracuse University and has served as a juror for SPACE on Ryder Farm, the Leah Ryan Prize and the Kilroys, to name a few. He is a graduate of New York University and lives in Brooklyn.
