  As Vice President for Risk Management, I led two divisions, the Clinical Risk Management division and the Safety division, on behalf of this provider of medical malpractice and general liability insurance and the Healthcare Workers' Compensation Fund - a workers' comp self-insurance fund for the healthcare industry.Sample Achievements:• Co-led the development and launch and served as Executive Director of a Patient Safety Organization (PSO) for the purpose of enhancing in-patient safety measures through research and best practice implementation. This is the only PSO domiciled in the State of Alabama, operates nationwide, and is one of only 80 organizations of its kind in the nation. • Served as a catalyst on behalf of clients in effectively reducing the frequency and severity of on-the-job injuries through safety audits and training.• Reduced the frequency of workers’ comp claims by 25% on behalf of a client.• Rapidly adapted, transformed, developed, and implemented innovative programs in response to changes and regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry.• Applied Safety and Health audit techniques in a variety of general industry and healthcare settings.• Working knowledge of Workers' Comp processes and procedures; EPA regulations; and Healthcare regulatory issues from governmental and civilian agencies• Planned and executed the annual CEO meeting of The Hospital Insurance Forum (a national peer-to-peer insurance forum).
