Purpose of my role; to increase the number of sporting opportunities available within the Lee Valley Regional Park, working in partnership with Lee Valley White Water Centre and Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre to ensure that these Olympic and Paralympic venues effectively deliver a tangible legacy from London 2012. Responsibilities and Duties- In partnership with Lee Valley White Water Centre Officers, I lead on the delivery of the Paddlesport Development Legacy Plan for the Authority including effective monitoring.- In partnership with Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre Officers, I lead on the delivery of the Tennis Development Plan and Disability Tennis Plan for the Authority.- To recruit, guide and deploy external coaches for the delivery of sports programmes and to help activate the Park. - To support both LVRPA in identifying specific external funding opportunities and to provide recommendations to management when writing funding applications.- To develop paddlesport and tennis opportunities across the region, raising activity levels and creating pathways into new and existing facilities. - To work with colleagues within the Authority’s Events Team and Officers at the Lee Valley White Water Centre and Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre to coordinate numerous canoeing and tennis events across the Park.- To work with the education sector, County Sports Partnerships, community groups and other organisations to develop and deliver pathway opportunities for young people to progress in sport.- To implement and activate NGB programmes across the Park for paddlesport and tennis.- To coordinate the delivery of a needs led education, training and development programme for paddlesport and tennis across the Park in order to develop an effective, well trained, motivated workforce.

The county sports partnership for Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, or Energize STW is a collaboration of key agencies committed to establishing a sustainable infrastructure to enable people of all ages and abilities within Shropshire Telford & Wrekin to benefit from sport and physical activity. The CSP are tasked with creating a momentum to continually improve the provision and delivery of sporting opportunities across the county in a co-ordinated, strategic approach.My main areas of responsibility included:- Increasing competitive participation in children and young people through effective delivery of the School Games Programme- Improving links between school and clubs and enhance the system of coaching support in response to the requirements of local, regional and national partners- Liaising with School Games Organisers and National Governing Bodies of Sport to ensure that sports are suitable to the development of ongoing activities and can improve links with local clubs

On a part time 8 month contract I created a 'Youth Forum' to provide a student voice for sporting activity in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. Under my guidance the group took a lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin County School Games.

I was responsible for increasing primary and secondary school competition across two secondary schools and eight primary schools, in addition to supporting curriculum PE and out of hour’s school learning. This included the delivery of a CPD programme to enhance the quality of curriculum PE delivered within feeder primary schools.
