Achieved my B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware in May, 2018. This position gives me a lot more responsibility related to food safety here in Southport. I frequently conduct audits to verify that our plant lives up to food quality standards, I look over paperwork for everything going into and shipping out of our plant, and I take great pride knowing our work here in Southport touches millions of household tables locally and globally.Past experience includes graduate school work at Purdue University's Department of Agriculture under Drs. Chad Penn (U.S.D.A. adjunct) and James Camberato (Purdue, Agronomy). My project focused on soil properties controlling phosphorus retention in soils, with the intention of developing a model in the future to predict soil phosphorus application requirements for farmers to reduce over-application and agricultural pollution. I also completed two undergraduate research projects at the University of Delaware under Dr. Shreeram Inamdar related to soil and water chemistry: 1) Fluorometric analysis of leached soil samples to determine the potential activity of leached molecules and their relation to the soil source (2016) 2) IR spectroscopic analysis of solid soil samples to determine trends in molecular structures from targeted soil sources (2017).
