• Managed the Court Technology Services (CTS) database and application teams, both personnel and technology. Responsible for all SQL 2000, SQL 2008, SQL 2012 servers and related issues within the Maricopa Superior Courts and Justice Courts as well as new court management software development.• Oversaw creation of court-wide coding standards, conventions and formal design processes and project management standards for both database and application development.• Managed the design, plan and build of a court wide disaster recovery implementation using database mirroring across physical locations.• Wrote the business case and subsequent proposal for adoption of new third-generation data center for Maricopa Superior Court. • Worked closely with PMO, administrative and operations staff on the topology and design for the creation of a third generation $2.5 million data center (DC3) for CTS.• Directly managed project to migrate all court and supporting databases from SQL 2000 to a brand new data center, running SQL 2008 R2 on a multi-server failover cluster, with virtually zero downtime.• Architected and project managed new Server Farm implementation for both lateral scaling as well as redundancy to support future growth and development of all new Maricopa County Superior Court applications.• Wrote and carried out feasibility studies on upgrade path from current SQL 2008 R2 based environment to next generation SQL 2012 based infrastructure environment. • Crafted business proposals and project plans as well as summaries for Board of Directors and presented them to executive and judicial staff to keep them informed and help them allocate funds and resources for new I.T. projects as well as ongoing processes.
