I have been in private practice since 1976; first in ObGyn, then in Gyn only since 1984. I have retired from this practice effective September30th, 2014.I will continue to volunteer at the Pinellas County Health Department in Tarpon Springs, and at the Clearwater Free Clinic. I will continue to be active in organized medicine, with the Pinellas County Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association. Serving as Doctor of the Day in Tallahassee in the Florida Legislature on an annual basis has been eye-opening in terms of being aware of the workings of the state government. I envision transitioning from private clinical practice to some form of administrative or consultative activity. Perhaps with a pharmaceutical, biotechnical, or medical device company as a physician medical monitor, medical study consultant, or physician investigator. I would consider working as a physician auditor for JHACO, or other governmental agency, or insurance company, or pharmaceutical company. Chart reviewing is another possibility. I would welcome an opportunity that might include travel. I will be pursuing my possibilities in the coming months.
