I have always been passionate about sport. At an early age I started playing both rugby league and rugby Union. When playing rugby I was scouted by Castleford Tigers and played for Yorkshire. During this time I encountered strength and conditioning coaches and this is what inspired me to want to pursue a career in this field. I chose to study sport at GCSE in school and again I chose to study sport at BTEC Level 3 in college, furthering my knowledge in this area and strengthening my passion. Also, at college I completed my Level 2 gym instructor training and my Level 3 personal training qualifications. I am now furthering my knowledge even more by studying this at undergraduate degree level and I aim to eventually work in strength and conditioning or in injury rehabilitation. At this moment in time I also work in a gym where I have opportunities to train clients in the gym, helping to give me experience in this area that I am very interested in working in, in the long term. I spend most of my time watching videos and completing reading around exercise and nutrition as this is what I am truly interested in. I am determined to reach my goal of working in sports and exercise coaching.
