Lead Product Design Engineer and SolidWorks Manager at IDentity. On a majorToyota project I designed free standing units for use across the EU. I updatedexisting POS stands, including units installed in all UK Toyota showrooms. Thestands informed customers of the potential for reduced car performance aided byproducts replicating areas of concern. I produced all 3D files on SolidWorks, liaiseddirectly with manufacturers and produced all project budgets with a colleague. Iimplemented the assembly line and ensured all stands were packed and installedon time to budget.IDentity oversees the EU brand revitalisation of Doosan and Bobcat, the globalconstruction equipment companies. I was Project Manager responsible forproducing quotations, artwork, engineering new products, managing installationsand ensuring work was completed. I worked with the EU Brand Manager in Belgiumto guarantee budget and design requirements. I often travelled across Europe,staying on site for many days.Lead Project Engineer and install supervisor for the client Porsche. In 2013, Iengineered the ‘Porsche Experience Centre’ at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Thebuilding assembly was modelled on SolidWorks. I worked with manufacturers toproduce a quickly assembled bespoke structure. The project had a large externalinstallation team of 15, for which I was the lead on site for a 3 week install.

I worked at Colouration for 2 months covering a colleague on paternity leave. Colouration specialise in the design and manufacture of print and point of sale units for the retail environment. I was required to develop initial ideas from a client brief through sketching and then create visuals using 3ds Max and the rendering package V-Ray. I quickly learnt the new software to a working standard. I had the opportunity of working on many well known brands such as: BP, Burt’s Bees, Calvin Klein, Clarins, Ermenegildo Zegna, Marc Jacobs, Nicki Minaj and Trussardi.

In 2010/11, I had a 12 month placement at Bosch Lawn and Garden in Suffolk which was then extended to 15 months. I had the opportunity to work on the AKE 30 Li Chainsaw, a Red Dot product design award winner. I worked on all areas of product development, starting with early prototypes, moving towards a finished commercial product. As an integral part of the small team, I worked frequently with the internal assembly lines and their managers. I also played a key part in the smooth running of the product development as a design engineer. I was closely involved in ensuring the chainsaw met all international and internal product standards and was safe for commercial release. I directly assisted Bosch’s coordination with external component suppliers to guarantee Bosch’s high quality requirements were met. After the successful product release of the chainsaw, I also had the opportunity to work on several other Lawn and Garden products including: the ALB leaf blower, ALS garden vac, line trimmer and multi-tool. I have gained many valuable skills such as ensuring quality standards, communication, team working and organisational skills in a large organisation.

For five years I gained work experience at Richmond Bridge Boathouses, building and repairing boats for master boat builder, Mark Edwards. Mark has since become known for creating the Gloriana, which led the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant. The work was physically demanding but allowed me to be creative. We worked to tight deadlines to get the job done. I needed to work independently, have good practical skills, to be thorough, on time and communicate effectively. I have worked on projects commissioned by the local council such as constructing two bridges over tidal flood areas on the Thames. During the summer of 2009, I gained useful experience by leading a project for a local client.
