As part of the Project Management Office (PMO), I am responsible for working with the Managed Services, Professional Services departments to plan and execute IT Projects. • Managed the Law Faculty’s ICT needs and responsible for the effective management of ICT operations, specialist ICT staff, provision of technical advice and expertise.• Worked collaboratively with various Faculty staff to enhance learning outcomes, associated pedagogy and resource development through the use of existing and emerging technologies. • Developed Strategic and ICT plans and policies for the Faculty. •Worked as part of small team in Desktop Management & Integration on the development, management and specification of desktop and personal computing device infrastructure and standards. •Contributed to the establishment and maintenance of policy and technical standards for the installation, configuration and operation of personal computing devices and related infrastructure services (including: a variety of information technology hardware, personal computing operating systems, network and application software) that form the QUT Standard Operating Environment and Managed Operating Environment.•Provided consulting, advisory and information services, related to a range of personal computing device solutions to technical and non-technical clients and varied users of IT within the University.•Monitored IT industry developments evaluate and investigate emerging technologies, (particularly client devices and related infrastructure) and made recommendations as to their suitability for adoption within the University.•Contributed to the effective operation and performance of University systems that provide centralised desktop and personal computing management and support.•During this role I managed large QUT wide projects, utilized the QUT Project Management Framework. These included: • Developed and managed the QUT SOE/MOE • Developed and managed the QUT Global Roaming service •Participated in collaborative committees and working parties, to provide operational oversight for technical processes, foster standardisation and promote knowledge exchange and professional technical development across the University.•Assisted with workload management and resource allocation

•Provided desktop and server provisioning and support services to divisions and faculty’s of QUT •Supported university corporate and integrated systems •Liaised with external ICT suppliers for vendor presentations, tender processes, equipment and software evaluations, RFOs•Support of specialist equipment, and high profile sections of the University
